Beauvoir, The National Cathedral Elementary School, an independent co-educational primary school located in Washington, D.C., seeks a full-time elementary classroom teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. At Beauvoir, classes are co-taught by partner classroom teachers who provide innovative, engaging student-centered instruction and dynamic learning experiences for students.

A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of demonstrated lead teaching experience in the early and/or elementary years are required. An advanced degree in education or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with Responsive Classroom, structured literacy, Orton Gillingham+, Bridges in Mathematics, and/or Illustrative Mathematics is an asset. Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and submit a completed health form in accordance with District of Columbia law.
