Early Learning Center

According to Plato, “the beginning is the most important part of the work,” and that is why the ELC strives to provide nurturing care and lots of opportunities for exploration and rich, stimulating activities

About The Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center at Beauvoir (ELC) is for children ages three months through three years old and was established primarily for faculty and staff of Beauvoir, St. Albans School, National Cathedral School, and other employees of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation. In addition, we are, in some years, able to accept siblings of current Beauvoir students.

In the Early Learning Center at Beauvoir, children are at the center of our shared work and collaboration with parents is essential to its success. Consistent with Beauvoir’s mission, the Early Learning Center program celebrates childhood, encourages collaboration, and fosters the development of creative, curious, and courageous learners, providing a strong foundation upon which to develop lifelong learners who embody kindness, honesty, respect and responsibility.
