Service Learning

Beauvoir children participate in service-learning activities that engage them in creating and building relationships with others to benefit their city, their country and the world. During the pandemic, we found new ways to offer vibrant and meaningful experiences across all grade levels. Please ask us about our work with seniors, Capitol workers, nurses and refugees.

Community service activities

Age-appropriate community service activities include:

  • The annual Walk-a-Thon to benefit the National Cathedral restoration fund
  • Monthly school-wide Snack Packing for DC Central Kitchen
  • A school-wide collection of socks, gloves and mittens, known as the Gifting Tree, to benefit Langston Terrace and the National Center for Children and Families
  • Pie baking at home to benefit DC Central Kitchen
  • A spring backpack collection of summer items to donate to Martha’s Table
