Early Learning Center Afternoon Teacher

ELC Afternoon Teachers are assigned to classrooms serving infants, toddlers and 3- 4-year-olds from 12 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Teachers must maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate program that is aligned with Beauvoir’s mission as well as with federal and district standards. Responsibilities will include providing daily routines to meet the interest and needs of the individual child and the group. Additionally, clear communication with teachers and families is expected.

Prior teaching experience with children in the early childhood years is preferred. Interviews will be conducted on site and all successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and submit a completed health form in accordance with District of Columbia law and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education.
