Optional Summer Program Underway for Pre-Kindergarten to Third Grade Students

Beauvoir’s Summer Extension Program—a three-week, optional, online, and synchronous program—started on Monday, June 15. The program, taught by Beauvoir teachers, is intended to provide additional academic support following the School’s remote learning classes, which ended June 2. Teachers have planned for continuous and customized learning experiences that build on one another. The live, virtual classes are accessed through the school-issued iPads students received in March. Subjects such as math, reading, and writing are taught during the mornings, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Optional specialist classes at each grade level are offered in the afternoons, Monday through Thursday. A sample schedule is attached (subject to slight changes). The program continues until July 2 (no classes on July 3 in observance of the July 4 Independence Day holiday). ALL Beauvoir families have full access to online, asynchronous, curriculum materials to support summer learning as posted on the Resource Board.
