Celebrating the Lunar New Year!

We kicked off our Lunar New Year festivities with a captivating presentation for our first graders, which was led by seventh-grade language students from our Cathedral Close neighbors the National Cathedral School and St. Albans School. This holiday, celebrated not just in China but also in other countries across Asia, ushers in a season of renewal and community. Our celebration continues with a series of enriching activities happening across all grade levels, including a Lunar New Year story time, vibrant dragon dance with musical performances, and a crafting workshop—all to welcome the Year of the Snake. Check out the recommendations below for books families can share with their children to learn more about this vibrant celebration.
