Permanent Guest Teacher (2024-2025 School Year)

Beauvoir, The National Cathedral Elementary School, an independent co-educational primary school located in Washington, D.C., seeks a permanent guest teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. The permanent guest teacher is a full-time faculty member who supports classes serving infants and toddlers in our Early Learning Center and pre-kindergarten through third grade students, in the event of teacher absence. The permanent guest teacher may also be assigned to co-curricular specials classes including computer science, library media science, performing arts, physical education, science, Spanish, S.T.E.A.M., and visual arts.

Required Skills and Experience

A bachelor’s degree and prior teaching experience with children in the early and/or elementary years is required. Familiarity with Responsive Classroom, structured literacy, Orton Gillingham+, Bridges in Mathematics, and Illustrative Mathematics is an asset. Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and submit a completed health form in accordance with District of Columbia law.
