Thank you for your interest in Beauvoir!  Registration for fall admissions events is now open via Ravenna.  Additionally, our online application is now available via Ravenna for families interested in applying for the 2020-2021 school year.

Beauvoir accepts applications for children entering pre-kindergarten through third grade. The school admits approximately 60 children to the pre-kindergarten program and 25 children to kindergarten each year. We welcome first, second and third grade applicants and children are admitted to those grades when an opening occurs.

Si usted necesita asistencia en español, favor de llamar a Lisette Osorio-Bladuell (202-537-6508). Será un placer ayudarle!

Please note: for families currently at Beauvoir, visit the Resource Board for more information about applying your child(ren) to the School.

We recommend registering early for a Parent Tour since they fill quickly. Visits will include a tour of the facilities given by a Beauvoir parent, followed by a conversation about Beauvoir's philosophy and instructional program with a member of the Admissions Team. Parent Tours for prospective parents are offered on selected weekday mornings from mid-September through early January and last approximately 75 minutes.  Please note that some Parent Meetings are available at select times following tours.

Applicant evaluations can be administered by any evaluator in your area.
  • Applicant Visits (Required for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten only)

Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten: The Admissions Team will send you an email with a date for your child's visit, which may be scheduled for as early as mid-November or for as late as February. Children visit Beauvoir with 6-8 applicants similar in age. They will have the opportunity to play with a variety of engaging materials and participate in activities that assist us in getting to know your child(ren). Parents are required to remain at the School for the duration of the visit. We are unable to offer tours during these visits.

First through Third Grade: We welcome first, second and third grade applicants. Please keep in mind that children are admitted in these grades when an opening occurs. Therefore, not all applicants will be asked to visit the School. Should the possibility of an appropriate opening occur, we will contact you to schedule a classroom visit for your child after we have received all of their application materials. Children typically visit Beauvoir for a half-day, which includes a classroom visit and one-on-one work a Beauvoir teacher.
